Sand River Frame and Photo was established in 2009 and is owned and operated by Rick Carlson near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

His focus is high quality, limited volume, and customized photography and framing. Unless otherwise noted, all Sand River photographs were taken by Rick. Please visit the Gallery to view samples of recent photos.

Sand River Frame and Photo draws its name from the African riverbeds which typically lack water during the long dry season. The banner at the top of each page is a moonrise over a sand river in the foreground (Tarangire National Park, Tanzania). Capturing the beauty of wild Africa showcased in exotic African hardwood frames is a specialty of Sand River Frame and Photo.
